Apollo Media is based in Auckland, New Zealand. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you request a free audit, we collect:
- your name, business name and email address
- your social media or website link and your location, if you choose to give them
- the date and time, the city and country your internet connection comes from, and your browser type
- how you found the site, for example a Facebook post or a Google search
If you email or call us, we keep that conversation.
This website doesn't use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics tools. To record how you found us, your browser briefly remembers where you arrived from. It's stored in your browser tab and cleared when you close it.
Why we collect it
We use your information to prepare and send your audit, to reply to you, and, if you decide to work with us, to provide our services. We also look at how people found us so we know which of our marketing works, and we use connection details to help block spam.
We won't add you to a mailing list, and we never sell your details or share them with anyone for their own marketing.
You don't have to give us any information, but we can't do your audit without your name, business name and email address.
Who can see it
Only Logan, the founder of Apollo Media. We use two trusted service providers to run the website and email:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores audit requests.
- Microsoft 365 handles our email.
These providers may store information on servers outside New Zealand, including in Australia and the United States. They only handle it to provide their services to us and are required to keep it secure.
How long we keep it
Audit requests are deleted automatically two years after you send them. If you become a client, we keep your records for as long as we work together and afterwards for as long as the law requires, for example seven years for tax records.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email logan@apollomedia.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
